What's the difference between Participatory MCLE Credit and Self-Study MCLE Credit?
MCLE Self-Study credit essentially means that your participation in the activity is on the honor system. Your participation does not need to be verified by an Approved MCLE Provider. MCLE Participatory credit requires verification that the attorney participated in the activity.
How Do I Earn Self-Study CLE Credit by Listening to your CLE audio courses?
Simply listen to each audio course in an interruption free setting. Keep a record of the date and time you listened. That's it!
You do not need and therefore do NOT receive a Certificate of Attendance.
How Do I Earn Participatory CLE Credit By Listening To your CLE audio courses?
1. Listen to each audio course in an interruption free setting.
2. Another person monitors your participation. Your monitor does not have to be present with you when you listen. However, you are required to notify them when you listen. Your monitor can be your spouse, adult child, colleague, secretary, friend. etc. You can use more than one monitor as long as each monitor signs the provided participatory credit log sheet.
3. Set forth the date and time you listened on the provided MCLE participatory credit log sheet.
4. Attorney and monitor(s) sign log sheet.
5. Email the log sheet to LawDepot to receive your Certificate of Attendance. Certificates are processed the day we receive them. Log sheets received on a weekend, holiday or after 5:00 PM PST are processed the next business morning.
How do your CLE online courses work?
Immediately after purchase of a online CLE course bundle, you will receive an email with the subject line: "CLE Online Purchase Instructions and Weblink". This email contains a web link to your CLE courses and instructions for listening online or for downloading to your computer. Simply click on the web link to access your CLE courses.
Once at the web link, you will see an index of files:
1) Your Log Sheet;
2) The CLE audio courses you purchased;
3) The optional texts which accompany each CLE audio course; and
4) An optional CLE Activity Evaluation in PDF format.
